my wep key

hey guys,

ive struck a bit of a problem here, im trying to connect my ps3 to my wireless but ive forgotten my own wep key :S . i know how to change it, by going to myip.com.au blah blah blah, but if i change it will other devices that use my wireless, like my hiptop and another laptop, be notified of this password change, and would they be cut off from the internet until they enter the new wep key?? thanks
 
I'm not sure about your modem, but the one I received from Verizon has a WEP key sticker right on the side of it. You could look and see if yours has that.

I'm not a computer expert, so don't go on just my word alone. But I feel they would need to have the new WEP key entered in them because they would get a invalid password if they tried to connect used the existing WEP key.
 
Yes, they won't be able to connect on next boot. You would have to enter the correct wep key. Just access your router and change the wep key, but on my linksys router the key is visible to me. So you should be able to retrieve your key by accessing the router.
