I have a wireless desktop connected to a router. I have vista ultimate. At completely random times, my connection goes to local only where I can connect to only the router. Can anyone explain why?

Yeah I think so. We have dsl through our phone line. We have a 2megabyte connection split between the phone and router.

Well, if when you are having trouble, you can still get to the router then the problem has to be in the router. You might give your ISP a call and see if this might be a commom problem.
