I know this will sound as if I`m making it up, but I`m not. When I play any movie or music video on my computer, the mouse works fine until I put my headphones on my head. The mouse slows down to a crawl and will barely do anything. When I take the headphones off my head and set them next to me, the mouse works perfectly again. This only happens at night and never in the day time. This has been going on for months.
This is absolutely true, it is a very strange mystery to me.
Any ideas other than seeing a headshrink :)
 
haha. in the 3 years you've been a member you've posted 17 times. Haha. As for that. There may be severe coincidences mixed in with a probable cause.
 
the headphones interfering with the mouse is possible like a clash of drivers or somthing but only happening at night is weird.. what OS are you running
 
Might happen if two devices are in near line up to the receiver and the headset had a more powerful signal i guess, though not sure
But still dont see why just at night?
 
If it's a wireless mouse, chances are the signal is being interfered with. I know some of them are very picky and sensitive. Got a system under a very small desk and half th time put my feet on it. The way I sit it is usually fine, but you bend your toes (no joke) and the mouse does exactly as you describe
 
Windows XP.
I do have a wireless mouse. One correction, the reason I said night is because that`s probably the time I use the headphones the most, it actually happens anytime.
I opened a folder yesterday and had the headphones on and the mouse slowed down without a video playing, go figure. As soon as I took them off, the mouse operated normally again.
Very strange, and I don`t believe in "strange things" unless it involves an ex-wife....

yea your headphones are def interfering with the mouse.. do you have another mouse or set of headphones to try?
 
He made it sound hilarious... My mouse stops working when i put my headphones on at night... That has to sound funny no?
Maybe its just me but i think that was the funniest post ive ever read here. :D
