N upgrader

I have a G router that doesnt reach most of my house. I'm considering buying this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833156232&Tpk=n upgrader

Will it increase range for G devices trying to connect to my wireless network? Thanks.

if you know the default IP address of your router, you can go into it's configuration page and increase the power of the wireless signal, most routers use a /10 scale, and by deafult i think most are 4/10, so try doubling it to 8/10, if yours has it.

The G and N bands are on completely different frequencies, so in order to take advantage of the extra range of an N router, you'd need to get N cards for those that need the extra range as well. As far as the suggestion above, I can't speak to that, so you could try that first before you drop a bunch of money on the new equipment.
