N upgrader

if you know the default IP address of your router, you can go into it's configuration page and increase the power of the wireless signal, most routers use a /10 scale, and by deafult i think most are 4/10, so try doubling it to 8/10, if yours has it.
 
The G and N bands are on completely different frequencies, so in order to take advantage of the extra range of an N router, you'd need to get N cards for those that need the extra range as well. As far as the suggestion above, I can't speak to that, so you could try that first before you drop a bunch of money on the new equipment.
