Nas Drive help please

well recently i bought a wd my book live, (1tb), I have it set up on my home network, but i was wondering how to access it over the internet, without using Mionet, but by using FTP, i think i have a static ip,
My router is a belkin one and i know how to portforward with it.
Can anyone help me with this because i dont know how to set up this FTP thing. thanks in advance.

port forward ports 20/21 to the ip of the wd my book

oh and of course you need to enable ftp in the wd mybook. But that should be in the manual.
