ndiswrapper??

ok ok i understand what you saying. and i figured out a few more things. it told me to type in ndisgtk so i did. and it installed a few things and then it asked me to continue. i pressed y. then it says insert ubunto 7.04 disk which is already in my computer and press enter. but it keeps asking for it. can you help me with this?? this has nothing to do with a new os.lol

ndisgtk is the GUI for ndiswrapper and should also already be installed. as for this whole putting in the ubuntu disc thing? I have no idea honestly; also I have no idea what you mean you typed in ndisgtk . Many people like ubuntu but I won't touch it.

If you're using a guide from Ubuntu forum perhaps you could post a link for me to reference and help you.
