buying a new case so i have more room for HDDs and thought about getting two decent(medium range) cards to replace my old ones

i have a 750W xtx powersupply that can handle it.

and im running a 1080p tv, 1440x900 and 1280x1024 monitor

any suggestions. wouldn't like to spend more than $250 -$300 ish. tho anything is going to be better than 8800gts

right now i think my price range is the geforce 550 or the radeon 6790

or is there one card that can handle these three monitors and still allow me to game on the 1440 monitor

may or may not be getting 22" wide screen monitors eventually

So are you looking to spend $250-300, or is that your top budget?

I would get either a 560ti or 6950 for that kind of money. One single powerful card is better than 2 kind-of powerful cards.

a single nvidia cant do three monitors except the 590 which is too expensive

and i watch movies (reg/hd) on the 1080p tv and do all my work on the other two monitors. gaming on 1440X900

think the 6950 be good enough?

Yeah a 6950 will be a great performer. Overkill for 1440x900. You will need an active display adapter to use the third monitor on a single 6950.

anyone link to cheap diusplay adapter?

and i dont need the best FPS out there. just enough to get the feel of the game. so like 60fps is plenty. and i will still have all 3 montiors running when gaming but the 1440 will be only one that has the game running on it.

might get 22" tho which will be larger resolution
