Need 2 clean my earbuds

I have a pair of earbuds that I use when I am at work, and they're fairly good earbuds, so i dont just want to throw them away and get new ones. The problem: the left earbud randomly starts buzzing when playing music. i can usually get the buzzing to stop after blowing in them. I suspect that I got some dirt or dust in them, so is there a way of cleaning them? Can I just dunk them in water? (It probably wouldnt be the first time they get wet...)

Thanks

Use a can of compressed air and spray it in there. If that doesnt work i guess you could try dunking them in water, just make sure they are dry first before using

Don't dunk them in water, lol. The coil is wrapped around paper so if they get wet they will probably warp. You could just try and pull them apart and then cleaning them out by blowing on them or compressed air.
