hey, i will be building my sig and i need both a psu and case... does any1 have some suggeations, i need to keep the price WAY down or that would push back the build date...

although no the emphysis, i want a stylish not white case, a black large sized case would be good, and a psu that will last some good amount of time for putting in a better cpu and better GPU. i really have no clue about what is good in these areas so please help...

also the max i would go is 60 bucks, unless the difference is large

i reckon that it may but i wouldn't be suprised if it didnt as it only has 18A on the 12 V rail which i dont think would be enough for that card along with the procesor

although looking at specs for 8500 it says 'min 300 watt with 18 A on 12V rail' so it may be pushing it a little bit - if you got that and it worked i dont think you would be able to upgrade anything without a new PSU as your ram is pretty fast too

Please don't bump posts after only a half hour.

The PSU included in that case wouldn't be a good choice. It looks like it's only got a 20pin ATX main, so is definitely a much older design, and those units are terrible quality anyway.

Some decent options,
Athenatech A602BS.400. The case is a little bland, but the PSU is a rebadged Topower, decent enough for your current system. Not bad value with the rebate.
XClio 450BL. A great PSU that would be very suitable for your system. Cheap enough to let you get a case and stay within your budget.
XClio Goodpower 500W. Gives you a little more upgrade room, and stays under $50, but is pushing your budget a little.
Hipro 400W. Sub $30 and enough for your system, not good for upgrades though. The XClio is better for a few extra dollars, as is the Topower built Hipro 500W, but I can't seem to find the newegg pages on either at the moment.
Antec Sonata II $10 over your budget, and still requires a MIR, but the best choice of the lot, IMO. A good quality PSU and a very sturdy case for $69 AMIR.

Hey, just wondering, what's wrong with the case you have now?

well it is small, i think, its an ugly blue, but i mean i could put in a new PSU... that would cut costs... how do you think that 50 dollar psu ^^ the one that was suggested would hold up with a better chip??

Depends on what you mean by better. Are we talking about an 8600GTS, or a pair of 8800GTXs, for example?
