Even you have a checklist, we don't know what brand selling in your area. It is differicult to help. Some brand is better, some is crap

ok... here ATI ( AMD) and nvidia are in great demand in terms of GPus.
Intel and amd in terms of processors. and all the above + asus in MOBO. i dont need a monitor and a 21 inch monitor and OS is not neede. ill buy one locally.

I am not talking about the chip set. I am talking about the brand
E.g. for M/B Gigabyte, asus are good brand.
Also, PSU, there is good brand like seasonic, xilco, etc
HDD: good one like seagate/ WD.

as much as people say build your own PC (and I'm one of them) sometimes with sales it's cheaper to just buy a pre-made PC and then add a little of your own upgrades. My new rig is an HP, however with the addition of a PCI-E video card it is much more then I could have asked for, and with Windows Vista pre-installed; I was saved the hit on having to buy the software as well. Just uninstall all the HP software and it's good to go.

I don't know what you have along the way of stores in india, but you should design a computer with the specs you want (including software) and see if it would be cheaper to buy one pre-made and upgrade a little (if necessary) then build one. For me that was the best option for my budget and I've been building for years.

for around your budget my HP rig has:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
2 gigs DDR2
500gb hard drive
DVD burner etc

that was the essentials on the HP rig itself that came out to about $700, then I added myself an nvidia 7900gs (again because of my budget) and it ended up being a good gaming computer with all the installed software I needed.
