need a good mouse

One online vendor newegg has a several lower priced models to choose from as seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2000290065+4093&name=%2410+-+%2425

Microsoft, Logitech, and Labtec are the more popular names for mice and other input devices. It depends on what type and style of mouse you are looking for. Optical and even programmable are usually the most reliable. Cordless models see the obviously higher prices then you are looking for.

It all depends on what you maen by adding $15. Is that for the shipping cost or for simply a better selection from various brands?

That model seen at the link is for notebooks mainly. For a reliable corded model the MS opticals are great. The rubber ball is no longer a problem since the plastic optical one is simply dropped out and wiped with a handkerchief or any other soft cloth and simply put back in for easy scrolling.

Then there are some trackball types to consider where you don't even need a mouse pad. For the better more reliable models you will end up pating a little more then planned but they are usually more durable as well.
