Need a good video card

Im going to be getting guitar hero 3 for christmas for the pc and the video card i have right now does not meet the minimum reqs. So If I get it and it runs like rubbish, Im going to upgade it. Any suggestions on a good card around the $200 price range. Also, is it better to get two cheaper SLI=cards and link them or not?

In the $200 or less range you won't see an 8800 or HD 3870 X2 by ATI. For SLI you need two identical cards for no more then $100 meaning older or simply low end models. After the holidays is an great time! 9800's come out with Intel's new quads, prices are sure to drop to the $200's and lower.

Look at the initial prices seen on 8800s and other cards to why anything new always sees a high tag. Some cards are still seen for over $1000!
