I like Lucent Orinoco cards, very reliable plus work right off the bat without any configuring, additionally they include the MC antenna jack for adding the external antenna. Very nice cards, and very affordable, just check around ebay and google for orinoco gold card.
These are the most widely-recognized brand and card model for its wide Radio Frequency sensitivity - outperforms many of the newest models and is well-known for its excellent support of Linux, Mac and Windows (except CE). It's also compatible with NetStumbler, Kismet, Aircrack, and most other wifi software.
This card can also be used as a radio in the ORiNOCO AP-2000, AP-2500 and Outdoor Router products, like the Classic Gold Card (monitor mode).
