need a laptop...

Well my father does anyway. He needs something that can run office, wireless internet for when he's on the road, quickbooks and simple email. Standard stuff. Only problem is, it has to be pretty rugged since his enviroment gets pretty dusty. His budget is only $1000.00

Any suggestions?
 
Dust will reek havoc on any system. As far as i know there is not system that is geared to more dust. Just tell him to clean the place.
Dell has some good ones.
Any chance he wants to buy mine?

well, you gotta imagine the guy spends at least 8 of the 24 hours in a day out on the road performing road calls, gathering business, in and out of construction sites, land fills, concrete areas.
 
Lol ive dropped my laptop twice (from my waste) and its still in amazing shape :) ( Just a little crack on the bottom side, nothing more)

I have a HP Pavilion dv4000 ;)
 
yeah, I think I'm going to have him try out a HP nx7400 and see if likes it. He says he's ready to upgrade his POS and office PC's as well but we'll wait and see.
