Need a little help with my computer.

Ok here is the story. Recently I had to re-install Windows on my machine because it was overly contaminated with spyware. Now when I have started to use it again everything I run is very choppy/laggy and my tower has started humming. It almost sounds like my hard drive is spinning when not needed. If anyone has any advice on how I could get this fixed I would really appreciate it.

Also make sure you have installed all your device drivers.

Yes it is humming all the time and yes everything was installed fully.

Probably your hard drive is dying... How old is it? And more importantly, does it also take longer to install programs than you remember?

Its only about a year and a half, maybe 2 years old. And installing things seems to work just fine.
