need a mouse....a good mouse

My friend is going all out on a gaming rig and wants everything to operate as smoothly as possible...even the mouse. I suggested:

but some of the reviews said there was slight lag. So my question is, for aroudn the price of this mouse or less, what is the best wireless mouse I could suggest?

I have a G500, which I got recently. I absolutely love it, it's wonderful for gaming.

Before that I had the Logitech G5, the G500 is the same sensor (I think) but with improved shape and more buttons, and a scroll wheel that can either be clicky or free moving.

For gaming you really want a corded mouse... but otherwise there is the G700. G500 and G700 both have 5700dpi too.

I suggested the logitech g9x wired mouse. Based on the reviews it seems really good. If he was intent on wireless I offered the g700

Spending $130 on a mouse, and a wireless mouse at that, is just absurd imo. You aren't gaining anything with that extra money that you don't get with a cheaper one. Of the ones listed thus far, I would take the RAT every time, however the G500 is very similar to a MX518, which is just an outstanding mouse, especially for the price

The g9x is the one I would personally go for...in fact, I think I might just get one for myself.
