need a new cpu fan... can someone pick one from this list for me?

We'll need to know it in order to ensure capatibility. Download CPU-Z and it should tell you what socket the motherboard is.

Anyway, to the OP: you said you have a +/-$80 budget, but never mentioned what you use your system for. Obviously, something that's used for general use can suffice with a far less-costly HSF than you would need for a gaming system or the like. Anything along the lines of 'email, word processing, internet, burning music, listening to music, etc.' are things where an average HSF will work beautifully for. To get a tricked-out unit for that type of usage is not necessary in the least, unless you want to brag about what you have (which is fine, honestly!). Why needlessly spend $80 when you can get the exact same results with $20?
