yea i'm thinking my laptop needs a new fan cause it shuts off on its own sometimes....nothing is blocking the air vent and it gets really slow and laggish...so far it has only shut off on its own when i run Reason 3 which uses an ok amount of CPU....my laptop has a celron and the specs for reason say u need pentium 3 and up so i'm guessing there is something with that going on....i've been running reason on this piece of shit since last june so it has been able to handle it for a while...i do plan to get a new pc soon but for now i'm just wondering if a new fan will help solve this over heating... i have a Satellite A10/A15 Series and have had to have 2 hard drives replaced cause they fried....i hear noise that sounds like a fan but some1 said that it could be the hard drive...it gets hot in the back thats all i know....also is replacing it easy? so far the only time i've reapired stuff was putting in a new hard drive and some ram

I had never fix a satellite before. Usually all laptop fans are easy to replace.
I think your fan stopped due to dirt clot inside your computer or might be your computer is cool and it is conserving power. Try taking out the screws and check it out!!!

even my fan don;t work for 24hr, but its normal. there r tempreature sensors inside the motherboard which trigger the fan to operate.

I would suggest to use a power vacum cleaner or hover to clean the vents n fan.

and after all u may replace it if u hav expereince with opeing laptop or hav enough money to buy the next one..:)

i think u don;t lov ur laptop.........:D

no u dont need to take anything out of it, just use the hover through the vents, both suction n blower...:)
