Need a new Graphics Card

I download quite a few of the high definition videos from itunes, TV Shows for example. I play them either on a 22" monitor at 1400x900 or on a 26" TV at 1360x768. In both cases the videos regularly 'split' along a horizontal line. I presume this is my graphcis card not being up to the job so I think an upgrade is on the cards. I currently have an ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro. My budget is around $150. Any advice would appreciated. Thanks.

What computer do you have? Prebuilt? Custom built?

It's a prebuilt Dell Inspiron 530S. 3.16ghz core 2 duo, 420gb hard drive, 4gb ram.

pre built = crap power supply

can you give us any info off the side of the power supply? wattage etc?

pre built = bad psu, bad ram, bad mobo, bad cooling
