id say no.. just because of the danger that if something is put/fell in front of the case, the cpu cooler doesnt get any air. without it, the cpu fan can fet its air from all directions.
 
I'm gonna get one of those pretty soon and connect it to my side fan. Just make sure you don't block the outside of the case where you connect the tube and your cpu will get all the cool air it can take. If you don't have the tube then your cpu is feasting on hot case air. Go for it.

a better solution would be, drill a few holes in the side panel (at the place where the cpu is) and put a casefan in ther, wich blows air towards the cpu.
it would have the same persormance,.and if that intake would get blocked somehow, the cpu fan still would get air
 
yeah put some people's computer, such as mine, has a very strong front to back flow. And the air that comes in from the front has already by heated by the hds, ram, chipset cooler and such and by the time it reaches the cpu it's already warm air and it will disrupted the outside to inside flow created by the side fan and cpu fan.
 
Ducting helps but you can get much better results by upgrading the heatsink, fan or both :)
