Need advice for under $1500 desktop!

Hey all, I'm looking at buying a good desktop for under 1500. I'm trying to find the best gaming set up possible for that price range. I live in canada so I'd prefer not to have to ship from the states, but if the price is right than it wouldn't really matter. One decent deal I found so far was a dell computer from best buy that has an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300, 6GB DDR2, Radeon 3750, and comes with a 21.5 inch HD monitor. I really just want the best bang for the buck, and although another monitor would be nice, what I really want is a powerful tower. Any advice is appreciated.

Edit: Well after battling with Acers customer service over my crappy laptops screen, it looks like I'll have to spend about 500 dollars on that. So my budget for a desktop is now only about $1000

I've found some solid computers on newegg, but does anyone know if they ship to Canada?

Yes it is very good Select the casing as haf 932 and then select the GPU as GTX 260
and RAM as DDR31600Mhz otherwise everything is awesome

Take advantage of the weekening pound

Try going down the refurbished route, if it's a Dell system you're after, Dell refurbs are good as they come with the same 3 year warranty as their new systems, I only know about the UK so it's probably a bit far to get one shipped over to canada (mind you with the demise of the pound, you never know!), but there must be folk in the US that could get one shipped to Canada and transfer the warranty, I know you said you'd rather not do that, but the saving might be well worth it. XPS 630 is probably the best value you'll get at the moment, Just a thought, I wouldn't even buy a new system anymore, bit like driving a new car out the forecourt and it loosing a quarter of it's value.
