Need advice: How good/bad does this build look?

Grrr, you know, that Gigabyte board is almost spec-for-spec better than the MSI board, EXCEPT that it only has 6 USB ports on the back, compared to 8 on the MSI board. I just recounted everything I have connected to my PC right now and it's 7 devices. So I think I may need to go with the MSI board simply for that reason. The other specs aren't a HUGE deal, but it would have been nice to have them anyway (like FireWire, which admittedly I've never used; extra SATA 6Gb/s ports, which I probably won't use either; more internal USB 3.0 ports; a PCI slot, which I probably don't need; etc.)

You can get cheap USB add-in cards you know. Pretty sure the Gigabyte UD5H board comes with some extra USB brackets anyway, my Dad's got that board.

For the back?

Edit: I'll have to look into how that works.

Not sure if it comes with them (think it has one for the front) but you can certainly buy them very cheaply.

Yeah if the UD5H doesn't come with one, just get that bracket. :)

Is this how they all connect, with a 20 pin cable? I don't see a 20 pin connector listed in the UD5H specs. Where does this connect to?

Edit: Oh, looks like it connects to the internal USB ports. From the sound of it, it takes up 2 ports.

Yeah connects to an internal USB port. Should work with the UD5H. Failing that you can grab a PCI x1 or PCI USB card.

Yeah that card will work fine.

Very few devices are USB 3.0 anyway.

Is there any difference in the cards that use PCI as opposed to PCI-E?

Also, what's the difference between the one that says VIA and the other says NEC?

750W will be plenty. You could run that system on a quality 600W unit if you really wanted.

I just realized that I have the Corsair HX620 PSU. Do you think that's adequate, or is it better to just upgrade?
