Need advice on buying computer

I'm in the market to get a good computer mainly for graphic intensive gaming (Battlefield 3 and such) and a little photo editing of the side. I was looking at some rigs on the Fry's webpage as there is a Fry's store near my house.

I'm not quite up to date on system requirements of games and tech stuff and such, is it possible to get a computer that can run current high end games like Battlefield 3 on high-highest graphics settings with a solid 60 fps or higher, for around $1000? I want something that'll last and be able to run any game I throw at it at least on standard settings with NO frame rate drop or any other performance issue, is it doable?

All of the ones around $1000 won't get 60fps+ on ultra settings. You'll have to build your own to get the most performance for cheapest price.

BF3 is such an intense game, that you'll need 2 high end video cards to get a constant 60fps at ultra settings. That being said, you could easily get 40-50fps on ultra and 60fps on high.

For $100, I'd recommend an i5 2500k or 3570k and a 560ti with 8GB of RAM. That should get those settings easily.
