Need advice on partition C: problem.

Hello everyone, had to make an account, so I could hear some thoughts on my problem and maybe help somebody else in the future.

My problem is, that drive C: is magically losing free space and eventually will end up at 0 kb free space. The hard drive is a 60 GB unknown oldie, separated to two 30 GB partitions, C: and F:. When I choose all the files, it shows around 22 GB, I have show hidden files on, hide protected operating system files off. My pagefile is on another drive. Any suggestions where it is going, maybe bad sectors? I just yesterday got rid of hiberfil.sys, thought ok, 3 GB free, great. Just to find out 7 hours later that 2,5 GB's is gone again. I turned hibernation off by the way. Can not quite say when it first started, didn't pay attention all the time how much was free at every secound.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Thanks in advance and sorry if some grammatical errors occured.
 
this could be the reason, programs need space, sometimes, especially the OS, so it will create a buffer on the hard drive just in case. so thus decreasing your space. may i suggest getting a bigger hard drive, very cheap now 500 GB hard drives, i guess you don;t use a lot of space so would never run out. you can install a program called ccleaner.exe and run it, that would clean up anything that does not need to be there. your cookies, recycling bin, etc. deleting any files would not work, if they are needed by the system which i guess the .sys file is. hope this helps a bit.
 
You might want to think about running some scans on it to make sure you aren't infected as well. But getting a bigger hard drive will help. 30gb for the boot partition running windows 7 isn't that great. I would say at least 50-60 gb at the least just to have some headroom. Here are the scans that you would have to run.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here or here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Please keep updating until it says you have the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • A log will be saved automatically which you can access by clicking on the Logs tab within Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware


Download the HijackThis installer from here.
Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Click Do a system scan and save a logfile

Most of what HijackThis lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

Post the logfile that HijackThis produces along with the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware log
 
I have crap cleaner, i have Nod 32 and Hijackthis also said all entries are valid. I have 2 other hard drives, one is 300 Gb and the other is 500 GB, both have abot 10 GB of free space. As i said i have show hidden files so i can see in Appdata files and see how many space programs hog up.
