Need advice on purchasing a desktop...

Hi everyone! I have found two desktop computers and a laptop that I really like. However, I honestly don't know which one to choose. I'm a full-time online college student and will mainly just be using the computer for homework (oh, and probably for playing the sims game too).

What is better AMD or Intel? Does anyone have any suggestions on any of these products and what would work best for me? Also, if anyone has actually used any of these products I would love to hear some feedback before I purchase.

That HP will absolutely kick the crap out of that Acer to be honest. The Acer is a Sempron, which is pretty much, give or take, equivalent to a Celeron. The HP is a P4, which will just smoke the Sempron.

I really like the laptop. I have an Acer laptop myself that is similar to that one and I just love it to pieces. It is soooo handy.

I guess it just depends whether you need computing on the go or not. If not, the HP. Otherwise the laptop.
 
Thanks a ton for the feedback! That's great. All I really want to do is play some games (mainly the sims) and to do homework. However, if i'm going to spend that kind of money on a system I want to make sure I get the best bang for my buck! :D
