need advice on what video card to get

sup people, I'm building this rig and I'm stuck on which of these cards to get:

Now, I know the X800GTO2 is probably faster, but the 6800 GS supports SM 3.0, and I'm leaning toward the 6800 GS because of it. Am I making the right choice? Is SM 3.0 going to be important in the future? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Either one of those cards would work great, however I suggest you look at a third. The Geforce 7600GT came out a couple days ago and is about $190-$210 usd. It is supposedly clearly in between the 6800gs and 7800gt performance-wise. It is slated to become the 6600gt's successor as the premiere Nvidia midrange card.

The 7600GT looks to be a VERY good "bang for the buck" card.
