Need advice please........best video card with 300w psu

I'm looking for the best card I can possibly get (PCI express) for my computer. Problem is that the PSU is 300w and I would prefer not change it out if possible. Anybody have any ideas?

Also, the computer has 4-512 mb memory sticks and 1 extra dvd drive that i added in the expansion slot. Will I still be able to add a video card with these things or do I need an upgrade? Thanks!
 
300W is very restrictive, why not get a new PSU, they are SOOOO cheap, a 550W one is just $AU40-60. A 7600GT can run on a 300W power supply, I think that is as powerful as you can go though, none of the ATi equivalent of the 7600GT is for you since they require extra power. A 7600GT is JUST run on your system, I have try it before with a P4 prescott, 1Gb of memory two optical drives and two hard drives, it ran ok.
 
LOL if there is no pain there is no gain. ;) Changing a PSU takes around 10 minutes for me. Yep, that 7600GT should work fine in your system, but its on the edge, the absolute minimum for a 7600GT is 300W, so you will be living on the edge there. That PSU should be fine but I would opt for a 550W to future proof myself.
