need advise on a graphics card

i got a new computer and i like to do gaming but i do not have a good enough graphics card to play games such as battelfield 2 so what is the best graphics card to get for around 100 pounds (uk money) if you know were to get it from please let me know.

well neither of those will work since you said you have PCI. I'd recommend this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814133134 Its a nVidia FX5500 128MB for $90.

I would highly suggest saving 150$ and buying a new motherbored with a agp slot for around 50$, and then buy a agp video card for the 100$. I dont even know if that pci card will play BF2 on low settings...

True, and the FX5500 may be able to play on lowest settings, but it may be laggy. Are you sure you dont have PCI-E or AGP?

I'm AGP, and I can afford to spend a little more. What would you reccommend?

6600GT is a pretty good budget card. If you wanted to save up, a 6800GS is pretty good.

Yes they have versions for AGP and PCI-E. Pretty good budget card... but if you can, get the 6800

id go with a 6800AGP. you can get one and unlock 4 extra pixel pipelines increasing performance by alot!
or... the 6800GS seems to be popular with a higher memory speed!
also... an 6800xt seems pretty good for the money... less pixel pipelines though, lower quality gaming..
NVIDIA RULES!... sorry i like ati and all but nvidia is doing more of what i like... raising architecture quality rather than clockspeed lol...

Ya but ATi might come back. Have you noticed that one company will bring in something awesome and then it is the "it" thing to have and then the next year the other company brings in something even cooler? Yes, I will agree: nVidia right now rocks, but don't underestimate ATi.
