hello. I have a phenom II x4 965 BE. I need a motherboard for it. I have been looking and havnt come across many that are in my price range. id like to keep it as low as possible, and I don't mind if its openbox. so far my max budget is at $60, but id rather keep it lower than that, more like $50. so far I have found these 2, but I hope there are more options than just this..

any guidance would be great. thanks

that board does not support 125watt cpu's. reision .3 does, but not the one you linked and I don't think thy sell revision .3 on newegg. thanks though...any other suggestions

I believe they send you the newest revision, which is 5.x.

Kinda weird only revision 3.1 supports it. 4 and 5 don't have a mention of it.

You could always try it. The only difference between the 960 and 965 is clock speed and an unlocked multiplier. If it doesn't work return it.

I've had both Gigabyte and Asus boards--I'd go with the Asus myself --it states it will handle a 125W processor-but I guess it's personal preference. Both look to be good boards.

The reason the Gigabyte is that way, Rev 3.1 is a 4+1 power Phase. The rest of the Rev. are 3+1, kinda weird.

getting a new motherboard shouldn't be a problem i just also set up a new one from my CPU. =)

if you are a gamer and focus more of the sound and graphics Biostor Hi-Fi should be fine knowing they have latest version of their motherboard.

well anyway what would be your budget? there are also others which is cheaper but still comparable.

wound up getting this for $50...

works pretty well with the 965. was it a good deal? thanks again.

Not a bad deal for 50 bucks.
