Need another router antenna

Hey guys, I am trying to replace my standard routers antenna, I just watched a video on Youtube, on how to do it. Here is the video:

My problem is I cant find an antenna kit like that one. I searched newegg but couldn't find anything that looks like the one he has. If anyone has a link to a similar antenna that connects like the one shown please let me know.

That antenna looks alot like one ive been seeing on amazon recently

this particular one is a 2.4ghz with a rp-sma connector (as is pretty standard)

as far as attaching it to your router, does your router have a removable antenna? which model router do you have?

if your router's standard antenna has a rp-sma connector then you can just unscrew it and screw a new one on

Hi thanks for the link, I also seen that one however I also need a rp-sma connector.

My router does not have a removable antenna.

As for router model, I have a similar one in the video. Fritz!box 7170.

I know I will have to open up the box and do the exact same thing shown in the video, the problem is finding an antenna with the piece he connects to the board of the router.
 
well, it depends on where the router is located and how its used, but since it appears to be a bridge for some sort of mobile voip phone I'll assume you need a good, high gain unidirectional antenna. shoot for something above 12dbi.
You could even get an antenna amplifier and a powerful antenna.
