Need big help. xp onto a blank hdd

ok i need to get XP installed onto a dell that has a wiped hdd. one problem. as soon as it loads the bios it shuts down giving me no time to put the cd in. when i hit f12 for my setup menu i just get beeping and it shuts down as before. please help i need to get this thing working.

Sounds like you might need to flash your BIOS or you need to configure your BIOS so that it boots CD as your primary.

i cant get into any menu's that what i was trying to do in the first place to load the xp cd.

this is a dell mobo so remember it is weird and stupid.
