Need data from linux drive using win XP

Hi there, odd one here,

I have a 1TB PVR Hard drive with the Ext2 File system.

I have installed IFS drives on my win XP system and can now view the partitions.

On the one i have named "X" there is a few folders with very little data that i can access with no problems, there is also a folder called "Images" which contains over 900GB of video which when i try to open, 'my computer' crashes and after about 20 mins i get an error message along the lines of "drive is not formatted"

I need some of the video urgently and any help would be appreciated

foot note, the drive doesnt need formatting as i can access the other folders with no problem, and the pc is pentium 3.2GHz with 2 GB RAM and XP Pro
