Need data off drive

I have an ASUS T100TA-B1-GR. I believe it has an embedded drive. I have searched for some time to get the specs to find out and I can't seem to find them or don't know what I'm doing. I have found these:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834231610

https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-...om-z3740-2-gb-ram-32-gb-ssd-t100tab1gr/specs/

Is it possible to retrieve docs, pics, and such from the drive? The Asus has a busted screen and will not come on as well. I prefer to just get the data and move on to a better laptop.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, its an MMC card not really an SSD and not user replaceable as its soldered to the motherbaord. If the data on it is important, then you'll need to get it working again or take it in and get the data recovered somehow.

That is what I was afraid of. Thank you for clarifying this. Glad to see your still here John. I have been off the grid for 9 months, but I'm back.

According to Asus it is definitely eMMC memory on there: https://www.asus.com/us/2-in-1-PCs/ASUS_Transformer_Book_T100TA/specifications/

We have the equipment to read eMMC, assuming the memory chip(s) aren't what went bad. It's not particularly cheap though since we've usually got to dig a chip out of a bed of glue, carefully heat and remove it, reball it onto an adapter so we can connect it to a reader. You can expect to pay around $450, possibly more if it's multiple eMMC chips on there (not likely) and the data is striped across them.

Considering that's probably more than was paid for the laptop, we don't get a lot of business for this sort of thing. But, everyone has to weigh what their data is worth to them. We have to base our prices on the actual amount of work required.
