Need Driver for Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT

Hey Guys,

I re installed my computer and what not, i have the wireless card drivers updated, other programs installed, I just cannot get the driver for my 8600 GT. I go to the nvidia site, download drivers, i select series 8, 8600 GT.. it downloads as a 72 mb file, it finishes i go to open it it opens starts then says this file has been corrupted... my graphics are old school on board for the time being and sucks?

Any idea?
 
You likely need to delete all your inTerent temp files as well as you system temp files. It's likely that your first download got corrupted and that Windows is still using that file even when you download a new one. It's actually a pretty common happening. You can also try saving the file to a differnt location with a differnt file name sometimes this helps.

+1, also try going to the vender's website and download the drivers though the support pages, i will ask what computer you have and give you links to download all the drivers.
 
Its a custom build, in an alienware case,
2.2 ghz AMD Dual Core
Nvidia GForce 8600 GT
2 GB of ram

I cannot find the box that i got when i upgraded to it..
 
IS it going to be from my mobo? As its an extra graphics card? Its a jet i think, when i built it i made a mistake of cheaping outon it.. will check.
 
Everyfile i fricking find that says its XP 32 or 64 when it installs says its damn vista 32.. i need this installed tonight i have many projects to run
