I have made up my choice of HDD already. I am planning to get this HDD:
Seagate ST3250620A 250GB ATA100 7200rpm 16mb Cache
http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/115413
or
Seagate ST3250620AS 250GB SATAII/300 7200rpm 16MB Cache - OEM
http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?quicklinx=44FR
I think I am probably gonna choose the ATA format instead since the I haven't seen any cheap case that support SATAII.
I now need to get a Hard disk case. Unfortunately I am running out of budget and are going for a really cheap case made of Aluminum. Since I won't run programs(such as BT or directly download it to my external HDD, but yes, watching movies from it) frequently from my external HDD, does it matter to which case I get as long as it is aluminum. Besides, are more expensive cases much better for heat dispersion or in reality the addition premium never justify itself?
I never have done this or seen anybody doing this before and I probably will have to setup all the stuff myself. Please advice on anything I have to watch out in particular for the set-up process.
Many thanks
