need fast help!

hello im new to this forum and im in need of serious help! basically here it goes, i ordered these 2 1gb ram sticks off ebay and they arrived today, i checked to make sure there compatible with my pc, and made sure all the measurements are the same as my other ram sticks which are already in my pc, but then i go to put the ram sticks in.. i turn my pc on, i sniff up and all i can smell is a fire, and i look inside my pc and theres an orange flame.. i immediatly pull out the power cable like a normal person would do, and now i turn my pc back on its completely broke, none of the usb ports seem to work, the fan on my graphics card isnt spinning, the screen isnt coming on.. its basically broke.. but the neon lights on the front of my pc work, and my disk draw still opens/closes.. does any1 have any idea what this could be? im reporting the seller if he doesnt offer any help of a refund.

Sorry to tell you, but it sounds like your motherboard is fried. There can be a lot of reasons for this happening, but it is obviously the ram which short circuited your motherboard in a way, and the reason for your cd drive still opening and closing , is because it draws power from your psu, which is obviously still fine.
