Need for Speed: Most Wanted Demo

for me it will take at least 20 hours with my slow internet connection, so i will never download it, i will just wait when the game releases.
 
Well nobody is missing anything by not playing the demo. The demo is OK. I hope in the full game that they add more graphic options then just Detail and Resolution though. They are using a couple of more effects that I hate such as motion blur. I bought a super fast LCD so I did not have to see blurring :P. Motion Blur is always the first thing I turn off on NFS Underground. I don't care the the "light trails" option either. As for the speed trap level you are not actually chased by the police. Not entirely sure what the point is actually but the faster you go through the speed trap the more points you gain. All and all I'm disappointed and hope the actual full game is better then the demo.

Oh yea and the lack of surround sound is just weak. I hope it is in the final product. If not then they need to step into the times I think.

Just downloaded and played it. Looks realy good, its a new concept where some raves you can finish last but still win. Was scared at first cos played it but graphics were awfull, but thats just cos they default at lowest, although grphics arnt that good.

erm you can go into advanced options lol and change it further. Do all antialiasing and stuff :P . So yer those improvements are on demo :P

:P :P :P :P.. You cannot be serious... I searched for more damn settings... Anyhow thanks for the info I'll look again and perhaps a bit harder this time.. will report back with what I think with different settings.
 
Ahhhh yes. Perhaps they should clean up the menu system and I would have noticed the Advanced options :). The effect I was referring too is apparently called "Visual Treatment" not motion blur and it apparently can be put to low but not off. After cranking up the settings with exception of a couple the game quickly became more appealing. If I could turn off the setting "Visual Treatment" I would be much happier. Also there is still no option for Surround sound which should be an option in all games by now.

Also I would much preffer being chased by police. I'm sure I saw screenshots where there was police.. Tell me, am I still missing somthing?

Remember, this is only a demo :P The actual police chases should be included into the final version. Well it best be anyway, or im gonna pissed

hahahahaha, yes indeed you are still missing something lol. Erm dont go to quick race, but the thing next to it. Then there will be displayed 3 things you can do, and do third on list. There you have to do damage and get away from the police. Plus glad you found your settings. And if you put reselution up nothing changes exceptmouse moves soooo slow, it damn anoying if you ask me.

Oh joy... You mean Me gots too slow down and actualy check out what options there are in the menus? Dang nabbit. I'll check er out and shout back at ye all how's I think she is. Dar better be some kewl copper chases or I'll be some dissapointed!
 
1 problem, i have a joystick and a dual stick controller hooked up to my pc, i have my joystick on the 2nd usb port and the dual stick controller on the 7th, (Front) The game only detected the joystick. I guess they made the game use the first controller it finds. O well, just gotta switch them.

Dude I get blur no matter setting due to the grog, damn I drive so much better after a couple of steady drinks, really theres a world of difference. Keeps you calm in stressed & potentially dangerous situations where the pure nervousness can cause a pileup.

In the options menu in visual settings press "2" on the keyboard. that brings up advanced settings. Although theres no option to turn off that damn motion blur:confused:

Edit: replied before I found out there were 2 pages:P
