Need good computer for under 500

I don't think you'll be able to find anything good for under 500 or 600 including the Windows license. Here's an article from 2011 for a gaming rig that cost them $667 (at the time, the prices have probably dropped or the parts have been discontinued since then) including Windows.

I'd recommend googling "budget PC" to get the gist of parts you might want to buy.

More recent replacements I'd suggest are:

Graphics card:

$155

CPU:

$130

DVD Drive:

$20

Motherboard:

$95

Power Supply Unit:

$55

RAM:
Not sure, I'd go with the Maximum-PC link I sent you. Patriot seems like a good company
EST ~$45

Case:

$32

HDD:

$75

Windows 7 Home Premium:

$90

So that'd be about $697. I'd really suggest saving up a bit more to buy a PC.

Thanks, but as I said I'm not looking to build my own.

Wow is the only game it needs to play. I'm sure it can be played at least on low settings with decent fps on a cheap computer, the requirements haven't gone up that much. I played with it for 3 years with okay fps on low settings on a $300 laptop that only became unusable when mists came out.

This PC is extremely easy to build yourself. You'll only have the cables you need, and nothing will fit where it isn't supposed to.

  • Fractal Design Core 1000
  • Corsair CX430M
  • Gigabyte GA-H61M-HD2
  • Seagate Barracuda 1TB
  • Intel Celeron G1610 2.6GHz
  • Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 2x2GB
  • Sapphire HD 7750 2GB DDR3

Total cost: $400 give or take a few (The Celeron G1610 is newer than the G860, so picture isn't updated)
Add a Windows license and it's around $500.

I have a laptop with an HD 5650M (a mobile GPU, so worse then the normal HD 5650) that plays WoW in 1920x1080 on low just fine. Around 70 FPS average and 45 lowest.
This system will use the HD 7750, which is two generations newer, not a mobile GPU and higher end (5650 = ABCD | A = the generation | B = the rank in the generation | C = the rank within the rank | D = pretty much always a zero :D).
That means the PC will smoke WoW on low, you'd be able to play on medium-high at least.

And once again. It's really easy to build your own PC, and this one is easier than most, since your GPU doesn't need a power cable, you don't need a third party CPU cooler, the stock fan setup is plenty good and the parts will only fit a certain way.
