need guidance for budget gaming build

Agree with the others on the television thing. I have also heard that it can burn up your graphics card a whole lot faster.

A monitor of that size goes for about 300 new, so i was going for about 200 ish, and ya dont use the old memory, its probally DDR2 which means it wont be compatible with your new motherboard, I suggest the memory posted for 1) its faster and 2) it has heatsinks (better ones) on it than the ones suggested to you earlier, better heatsinks = less heat

I just discovered a part that is better than the motherboard you are presently looking at buying. Take a look at this Socket AM3+ motherboard:

ASUS M5A87 Socket AM3+ Motherboard - $108
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131734&Tpk=ASUS M5A87 AM3+

This main board will work with the Athlon II 450 processor and all other parts you are looking at. You will be able to upgrade in the future to AMD's new line of processors they are going to start releasing in June if you decide on this motherboard.
