Yes that's a good board. I used the micro ATX version of that very board for a recent build I did and it's working perfectly. Go for it.

You just saud you cant afford the asrock but eant a more expensive board? I wouldnt get asus. Get a MSI Z77A G43.

One question. Would you be willing to accept a first gen i3, used hardware and/or amazon? I just need to know before i can recommend you. I'm owner of oldest i3 and is great CPU.

How many times? There's no problem with ASUS... really! Honestly dude, I've used a lot of their boards over the years now and I've not had one problem with them.

Same with monitor, DVD burner and blu ray rom. Plus tablet with Nvidia Tegra 3.

Ahem... I use an ASUS board and it is flawless so far.

Thanks for all the help guys, I think I've got my final build put together, which has the i3 3220, ASUS mobo, sapphire 7770 at the base of the build along with other suggestions coming from Daisy (thank you!) for about $800 with OS and monitor included.

Good chose. 7770 would doing great job and overclock for gaming. I have XFX 7770 Black edition.
