Need Help about my friend computer

Hi all bro & sis here,

My friend currently is facing this problem with his computer, when he turn on the power button in his computer the computer show nothing in the monitor but the monitor is not spoil cause he has test it. So what is the problem that causes the monitor not to show anything on the screen?

Is it the mother board got problem or the windows got problem ???

Is the monitor properly connected? If so, I'd start with the video card or on-board graphics and make sure they are working.
 
One time on mine my mobo and psu was defective and it did the same thing as you mentioned. I had to ship it back to komplett....
