Need help asap

Hey guys, my Dell P2210 Monitor decided to semi fail on me this morning when I turned it on.

I narrowed it down to the monitor developing vertical green lines across half my monitor. It does this without the dvi cable connected. So it's not my video card.

What seems to be the problem?

I'd say your monitor is failing. Any chance it is still within its warranty period?

Monitors are not nearly as expensive to buy as they once were (as with all computer parts) so it may not be cost effective to have it repaired.

Well Dell support was annoyingly terrible but I got my replacement monitor on the way.
