Alright guys i just got a Ecs NforceE3-A motherboard and AMD 64 bit 3000+ CPU.

Well i put it all together, starts up fine, but when it gets to the Windows loading screen it shows it alittle then restarts the computer. Nothing is over clocked and i am using 2 hard drives that have Windows XP from my previous computer on them.

Oh and when i boot it up, on the first screen ( the one that tells you what your specs are ) it makes my RAM ( Kingston 512mb SDRAM ) bold, the rest of the stuff is regualr but the memory is bold for some reason.

What can be the problem?

( Sorry if this is the wrong section )

I'm guessing that is the problem. If you have replaced the motherboard and cpu you should really reinstall windows for an easy ride. Although ive heard of other methods, i reinstall the o/s.

or that too.... i didn't even think of that since you got the new motherboard and CPU the windows installation is looking for the old hardware. Good thinking atomic!

Could i just put all the other stuff back on and install the stuff that came with my mobo? Do you guys think that would work? I would just install Windows again ( Found the cd ) but i dont have the serial number anymore.

You can find your serial number out using this.

Alright guys, tried to boot up a Windows Cd, but it wouldnt boot Windows up. I set it so the cd rom boots up first also. It just says please insert a system repair disk and press enter, which i do but it says the same stuff over.
