Need help before buying!

So I'm going to buy a new rig in the early June. I just wanted to ask if there is anything i should know, like new releases, price drops and if the rig I'm building fits and is compatible and if I should change any parts to get better performance.
My budget flexes in the 1100€ or 1400$ price zone. But Since I live in a poopy country the prices on Newegg or some store like that are probably 5-10% lower.
I'm mostly using it for gaming.
The rig so far:
1. Motherboard - GA-Z68XP-UD3
2. CPU - Intel Core i5 2500k 3,3GHz 6MB Socket
3. GPU - Sapphire HD7870 OC 2Gb
4. Memory - G.Skill F3-1600 2*4
5. Storage - SEAGATE HDD SATA 1TB 7200RPM 6GB/S
6. Optical Drive - SONY OPTIARC DVD-/+R/RW-RAM12X24X SATA
7. Case - Cooler Master CoolerMaster HAF 912 PLUS
8. Power Supply - FSP AURUM GOLD 700W
9. Cpu Fan - HYPER 212 EVO
Price at the moment: 1000€ + 89€ for windows
 
You need to get a different power supply. The brand you chose will probably not last. Look into the brands corsair, antec, silverstone, seasonic, pc power and cooling, NZXT, or XFX. You could use a 600w and have plenty of headroom.

Besides that, looks really good.
 
True, nice build except for psu. Gaming would be very nice on it. I would get 8 gb RAM on one stick. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231488. Just $10 more. Here is a good one that will power your pc with upgrades to come. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020 Also, 1 stick of RAM uses less power, but not to much less, so if you don't want to spend $10 more, you don't need to. That psu you chose is a cheap Chinese brand that when it Blows up! it will take other parts with it. The Corsair is only 50 watts less and is so much nicer.

Yes that is a solid power supply and will work fine. :)

You want to get 2x4GB sticks, not 1x8GB. As StrangleHold said, the 2x4GB would run in dual-channel, whereas the single 8GB DIMM would be running in single-channel, meaning it would be slower. 2x4GB is also cheaper as well, and more convenient. Not all motherboards support 8GB DIMMs as far as I'm aware, however the board xxmadisxx is looking at should be OK with 8GB DIMMs, but just go for 2x4GB.
 
The Crucial M4 is a great SSD, had mine for six months with no issues whatsoever. Also take a look at the Corsair Force 3, I know claptonman likes his ;) they are meant to be very fast drives. Those two are going to be my recommendations for you.
 
what country do you live in? rebates and stuff don't always work on other sites/countries and all and sometimes if one of the companies has a plant near there or something they'll be cheaper than another.
 
I was reading every post since I saw you wanted to go with Z68 chipset looking for someone mentioning Z77 or Z75 chipsets. You should go with them.
 
maybe up that gigabyte board to a UD4? Its the board i have and i love it, no problems and it has everything you could ask for!

Also the REV 2 of my board supports PCI 3.0 :P
 
I'd still go for the Z77 chipset, it only just got released like 3 days ago and it's always good to be bang up to date. The Z77 chips will support the SB processors no problem and they will have PCI Express 3.0 built right in, though PCI Express 3.0 with an SB CPU is pretty pointless because the SB processors don't support PCI Express 3.0, but the Ivy Bridge processors will. :) I hear they are coming out on April 29th.
