Hey guys,

I need help building a gaming computer. I'm not good with parts so basically i'm looking for somebody to build me a perfect gaming computer. My budget is $800 i might go $850 maximum. I need case too. I really want to run all the latest games with no problem on maximum settings. Also i want all parts to be from www.newegg.com no other websites. Also i'll use it for programs like CS4 and others... and to watch movies too. Thanks.

Edit: I dont need CD and DVD, i'll use the ones from my old system.

Hey
I dont need the OS i already have it.
I have no idea but isnt intel i7 better or not? i dont know but i hear many people use it. Also with those parts i can play all games with maximum requirements like gta4 and others? and also that's a good system for running programs too right like CS4 and others (i forgot to mention it above but now i edited it)...? and what about sound card? and is this a good gaming computer system to last for a couple of years cuz more new games are going to be released in the future? Thanks. :)

Edit: What's the difference between radeon 4890 and 4890 x2?

Yep you pay for the performance difference for the I7.

However since no games use 4 cores and the only game to come out with 4-core support was suppose to be "Alan Wake" which might not even hit PC now I would not spend the cash on the I7 unless you do high-end video editing/graphics/CAT type work that can use all 4 cores and 8 threads.

Edit: What's the difference between radeon 4890 and 4890 x2?

4890x2 is 2 GPU chips on 1 card and a 4890 = 1 GPU on the card. Think of it as single slot SLI. So you can get 4-6 GPUs on 3 slots.

When I was building I wanted a i7 too with about a $600 budget. To get a proper i7 system its going to be much more than your budget.

The motherboard should come with integrated sound. If you really into sound quality then you'll need to buy one.

To me, the i7 is a Phenom II with lots of expensive bells and whistles. I'd pay for those bells and whistles if I had the money, but, since I don't, I'm still okay.

Thank you guys. Also one of you mentioned that the motherboard should come with integrated sound. I currently have 5.1 creative speakers system and i really need an audio card too. Anybody suggests a good sound card? and um not sure but is the motherboard integrated sound any good or it's better to get a sound card for the 5.1 creative speakers? Thanks again.

If you're on a budget, you don't want to get a sound card. Best to find a motherboard with Hi-Def Onboard Sound. Like my Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P
