Need help buying a gaming comp.

Thought they would come with the hardware. It seemed a little odd to me that you'd have to go and get one yourself.

I'm still unsure wether or not I will be able to assemble this thing by myself. I watched the video on youtube, but his parts are different.

yea. the Extreme 4 came with one, and in every SLI capable board I have seen reviewed on newegg TV it is always in the motherboard. The only time you need more is if you do greater than 2 cards.

It works the same way no matter the parts. A celeron will go the same as a i7. A Hd 5450 will go the same as a 690. A 128 MB RAM will go the same as a 8GB ram. the parts all go in the same way.

As Wolfe said, it doesn't matter what he used, everything works and fits together in the same way. It's pretty easy to build one, and good fun. You learn a lot about computers too as you can see how everything fits together and where everything goes.

Alright good deal. As for the OS, once I get the comp booted up, how do I install it? Also, how do you set up the SLI?

To install Windows you need to go firstly go into the BIOS, make sure the CD-ROM is set as first boot device (look in your board manual, it will tell you how to do this), then you restart the PC, put in the Windows disc and when you get a message which reads "Press any key to boot from CD..." you press any key and go from there.

I don't really know the ins and outs of setting up SLI, but once Windows is installed you need to download the NVIDIA drivers for your GTX 670s. Once it's installed and you've restarted your computer, you need to go into the NVIDIA control panel and set up SLI. I've never had to set up SLI before, so I don't really know the ins and outs, but watching this video may gie you some idea http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XS5rBS8n-LM you're only interested in SLI, not CrossFire - CrossFire is the AMD equivalent.

okay. To install the OS, you put the disk in the computer and boot form it (I forgot the DVD drive too, thats 20 at most). I have to push F11 on my board, may be the same for you. Then just follow the directions and it will install.

SLI, you set up the hardware (put the cards in, and put the bridge on) then when you install the drivers from nvidia, they will do the rest of the work I think.

I was actually un-aware that my PC would run GW2 minimum requirements.

My pc specs are: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz
3.1 GB RAM
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600)
GeForce 9500 GT graphics card (1g ram)
Realtek High Definition Audio

I bought this computer im using from a friend a few years ago, how well will I be able to play GW2?

P.S - Im still wanting to build my own, im just wandering how this one will do.

With the 9500 GT it would probably run fairly well at maybe low-medium settings. :) Q8300 is a decent CPU, I've got one. :D

It sounds like your current system will do quite well for it. Definitely meets the minimums with plenty of room to spare.
