Need Help buying a PC for Graphic Blending

Hi i'm from bangalore, i wanted to buy a PC to work on Zee Brush, Maya, Photoshop, CS4 and 3Ds Max please suggest me something nice and not way too expensive, i think i can spend about 30k(i cant really afford to spend so much on it but its necessary for me cuz i'm working to earn on it) and i dont want a monitor since i already have one which i can use for the time being and dont have much to spend. So basically i need to know which processor(i heard that amd systems are good for graphic oriented work but i'm not sure), motherboard and graphic card i need to make the softwares work smooth i should be able to work on 2 these softwares simultaneously. How long will you be using this computer?

For starters, i'll give you a 775 build that other members will probably make better

CPU: Core 2 Duo E5200
RAM: 4GB DDR2-667mhz
MOBO: Foxconn 671MX
GFX: Nvidia GeForce 9600GT
O/S: Windows XP Professional

That's only a starting point, a build like that could probably cost less than $1000 AU.
I'm guessing other members are going to suggest a Core 2 Quad, 4GB of 1066mhz, a quadcore capable motherboard and a 9800GT or Radeon 4670.

thx so much i'm not exactly a beginner and i have a laptop which gets overheated so i wanted to work on a pc and when i get better would i have to buy a better pc or can i upgrade? also how abt amd system? plz help..

My laptop configuration is
3Gb Ram, Geforce 9600M GT, Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5800 @ 2.00GHz, Motherboard Quanta 3603.
