Need help choosing new PSU

ya, already figured out newegg doesnt carry ultra... but i can also get it cheaper than what tiger has both of them for,

If you run a good search for any specific model you can generally find the lowest prices at one of the shopping sites that come up like bizrate, nextag, shopping.com, etc. that way. If you don't go with a different make here's a few search results on the Ultra brand itself to look over.

You can easily narrow that down by wattage if not a specific model to go by.

Personally, I don't see either as being great value for money - you're paying almost twice as much as the XVS 500W for an extra 100W of power you won't use.

The GameXStream is a somewhat better PSU, but not great value either, IMO. If you're looking for a great PSU under $70 shipped, I'd go for the Corsair VX550W (provided you don't mind the rebate).

so Mep, am i good to go with the ultra psu's.....and which one would you prefer...xvs 600 or xfinity 600

Go with ceewi1's recommendation. He's more familiar with that technology. My only concern was fitting a standard ATX PSU into an OEM case. If you've confirmed that one will fit, then you should be okay. Good luck! :)
