Need help choosing RAM

hey guys
In my PC now I have 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 RAM. My motherboard only has 2 slots, so I want to upgrade to 4GB. I'm not confused about the DDR2 bit, and I know I have to get DDR2 RAM, but i'm confused with all this blah, blah MHz stuff. Does it matter what MHz I get, and do I have to match it up with the same speed of the RAM that came out? Can it damage anything if I have to and I don't?

Give us the make and model of computer you have if you bought it from a store or the model of motherboard if its a custom built machine.
