Alrighty I need help choosing the right internal 500GB hd for a external hd I am building.......I don't know what the difference is between these except for the cache sizes...so help me out and tell me which would be the best..I am a seagate guy but if you can convince to another such as WD, I'd be fine with it but I really do like Seagate and the perpendicular record. technology....

Here's what i have in mind

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 (Perpendicular Recording) ST3500630AS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache $110

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache $125

Seagate ST3500631NS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache $120

Also, I think it has to do with cache, but why the difference in price?
AND
What are the advantages/disadvantages between the 2 different cache sizes?

Baracuda is whip ass.
Cheeta 10,000 is a bonus.

all mine are Baracuda's.
you don't need Cheetas. its server sheet.

now im tempted to get the 7200.11 and use it as my main drive :-) then use my 320GB for the external!...if i do, is there a way to clone what's on my main now onto the new one without reinstalling everything?

Yes, there are various pieces of software that will let you do that, however I do no know of any good free ones. I've used Drive Wizard which is $20 I think and it works well, and I think Norton Ghost will allow you to do the same thing.
